If you find yourself in Coachella, California, and have a craving for authentic Mexican cuisine, look no further than Jalisco Restaurant. Nestled at 1605 6th St, this delightful eatery stands out for its vibrant atmosphere and genuine flavor that transports diners straight to the heart of Mexico. Whether you're a local or just passing through, Jalisco is a culinary gem you won't want to miss.

The moment you walk into Jalisco, you're greeted by the warm and inviting ambiance filled with the sounds of laughter and sizzling plates. The restaurant is a favorite among locals, which is a testament to its quality and authenticity. The staff is renowned for being friendly and attentive, ensuring that every visit feels like a home away from home. You might even find a packed house during peak hours, which speaks volumes about the restaurant's reputation in the community.

Jalisco’s menu is a delightful showcase of traditional Mexican dishes that are sure to tantalize your taste buds. For a comforting start, try the Lengua, a flavorful beef tongue served in robust beef soup, offering a hearty embrace on a plate. If you're in the mood for something that packs a punch, the Camarones a la Mexicana features fresh shrimp grilled to perfection with tomato, sweet onion, and serrano chile, served alongside rice and beans—a dish that promises to ignite your palate with every bite!

Don't overlook the Tostadas de Ceviche de Camaron, which brings together the freshness of chopped shrimp cooked in lime juice, layered atop a crunchy tostada, and topped with cilantro and avocado. As Angie Diaz notes, encountering a bustling restaurant often signals a winning experience, and Jalisco truly delivers on that promise.

For those who adore tacos, you're in for a real treat with offerings like the Al Pastor tacos, praised by many as some of the best around. Customer Jody McCallum raves, "This is not Americanized Mexican food dripping in tons of sauces and garnish. This is the real deal." With each bite, you’ll taste that authenticity that keeps diners coming back.

Is your hunger a bit more adventurous? Dive into one of Jalisco's Combinaciones, featuring options like burritos or quesadillas with a variety of filling choices for just $7.95! And don't forget to try their Quesadilla con Carne, a cheesy delight that is sure to please. As Jeffery Comer highlights, the lunchtime crowd is a testament to Jalisco's popularity—arrive early to snag a table, and enjoy the kick of their house-made salsa and hot sauce.

In a world of overly commercialized dining experiences, Jalisco Restaurant holds true to its roots and keeps the spirit of Mexican cooking alive. It’s a family-run establishment where each customer is treated like one of their own. From delicious tacos to shining customer service, Jalisco is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in real Mexican flavors in a lively, welcoming setting.

So gather your friends and family, and prepare to enjoy a true feast at Jalisco Restaurant, where each meal is a celebration of authentic flavors and cherished memories.

Tried the tostada, tacos, and my friend had the torta. Very good food. Loved my tostada, but it is definitely not date night food. So messy. But, as I said, very good.

I was looking for some Mexican food in Coachella and found Jalisco, and it was a good experience! From the moment I walked in, I noticed how much people were there! So i assumed it was going to be great! The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was really good. And met our expectations. Definitely recommend!

This is the place “ authentic” Mexican restaurants try to imitate. Atmosphere, food, service - everything was just right. And real. And it’s nice to find a good place outside the greater Indio/Palm Springs area. Very nice lunch experience - on the short list of restaurants I’ll visit again.

Love this local gem! We drive out of our way to go here for amazing tacos. Pure and simple. This is not Americanized Mexican food dripping in tons of sauces and garnish. This is the real deal. Simple place where all the locals come. The servers are so friendly and nice. Service is quick. Best Al pastor tacos I've ever had!!! YUM

We enjoyed our meal very much. Wet Burrito was delicious. The salsa and hot sauce were good too. We wanted something more made from scratch and Jalisco delivered. Nice family service. Lots of locals dining so you know it is good.

During our training, I stopped at this restaurant for lunch. The first time I had a torta and then the next day I had tacos. Both were excellent. The service was great and it’s always a packed house at lunchtime so get there a little bit early. Prices are extremely reasonable as well.
